Baraka Uganda Development Initiative is a community-based organization located in Lweza Village, Mukono District, Uganda. We are dedicated to empowering individuals, uplifting vulnerable groups, and promoting sustainable development through programs that focus on education, health, livelihoods, social inclusion, and environmental protection.
Founded in 2023 by Phoebe Faith Babirye, a passionate community mobilizer and advocate for social transformation, Baraka Uganda was born out of daily interactions with communities and a deep understanding of their challenges. Our work is community-driven, built on trust, collaboration, and practical solutions that bring lasting change.
To empower communities in Uganda by fostering sustainable development, promoting education, and enhancing livelihoods through innovative, inclusive, and community-driven programs.
A thriving Uganda where every individual, regardless of age, ability, or circumstance, has the opportunity to achieve their full potential, driven by resilient communities and sustainable progress.
We focus on six core goals that guide all our programs and activities:
Building capacity, skills, and access to resources for underserved communities.
Expanding quality education opportunities for children and youth, especially the vulnerable.
Promoting entrepreneurship, agriculture, and vocational training for economic resilience.
Improving health awareness and access to essential services for marginalized groups.
Supporting elderly people, persons with disabilities, and vulnerable children with tailored programs.
Advocating for eco-friendly practices to protect Uganda’s natural resources.
The success of our programs is driven by a competent and committed team that brings together a wealth of experience, passion, and professionalism. At Baraka Uganda Development Initiative, our leadership integrates grassroots knowledge, strategic partnerships, and a shared vision to create sustainable impact across communities in Uganda.
